Tongguan Flavors, Forging New Links with Japan

To tap into the potential of Japan’s catering market, strengthen cross-border supply chain capabilities, and empower the global expansion of Tongguan cuisine, our General Manager Dong Kaifeng recently led a core team on an in-depth business visit to Tokyo, Japan. This trip focused on benchmarking international logistics leaders and successful overseas catering brands, laying a solid foundation for the major promotional campaign in Japan this September.

Our team conducted thorough visits to Japan’s largest logistics provider, Yamato Transport Co., Ltd., and SF Express (Japan). We closely examined their refined operations systems, efficient warehousing and sorting, intelligent last-mile delivery, and stringent temperature-controlled logistics solutions. By learning from top-tier expertise, we aim to comprehensively enhance our supply chain competitiveness in Japan—improving timeliness, stability, and temperature control—to ensure the safe cross-border journey of culinary ingredients.

We also visited local Haidilao and Lanzhou Beef Noodle restaurants in Japan. Observing both front-of-house and kitchen operations, we meticulously studied their localized ingredient sourcing and freshness practices, standardized workflows, quality control systems, and service models tailored to Japanese consumer preferences.

This Tokyo visit marks a crucial step in deepening our presence in the Japanese market. Not only are we learning advanced practices, but we are also committed to delivering the essence of Tongguan and authentic Chinese cuisine to Japanese tables through stable, efficient, and professional supply chain services.
